Input-Output Devices

  An input device is a device that sends information into a computer, but does not recieve information from the computer. A keyboard or mouse are good examples of this.

  An output device is a device that receives information from the computer, but does not send information to the computer. A printer or computer monitor are good examples of this.

  Input/Output devices are devices that both send and receive information to and from the computer. A flash drive is a good example of this, since it can put files onto the computer, and take them off.
